April 2019 Virginia History Hunt Highlights

The April Virginia History Hunt was made up of both newbies and old hands. The team hunted hard and discovered Civil War artifacts on each of the four days. These included Civil War bullets (only a few of which are pictured); buttons and button backs; gun parts including a Confederate Enfield rifle nose cap and a musket trigger guard; a cap box finial; J-hooks and other miscellaneous bits. Other interesting finds included a silver mechanical pencil; a large monogrammed silver piece; an 1876 Seated Liberty dime; colonial buckles and mounts and a quartz Native American projectile point.
