Texas Ancient History Hunt a Hit!

A fine group of History Hunters recently gathered for two very sunny days to dig for ancient pieces of American history. The sand on the farm we were searching was quickly being hauled off for road fill so time was of the essence to save these artifacts from being turned into asphalt. Over 100 complete pieces were discovered along with many other bits. Materials were mostly local pebble cherts and petrified wood although there were some pieces made from novaculite. The artifacts dated as far back as over 9000 years! The pictures below are only a sample of what was found. Congratulations to all the finders. Enjoy!
