September 2020 Mississippi History Hunt Highlights

Eight History Hunters came together for three days to metal detect for Civil War relics. The site was very large and rich in history. We were blessed with 3 days of good weather. Everyone made some great discoveries and they were spread all over the farm. Some of the highlights included close to 100 US and CS Civil War bullets (mostly pulled and dropped), a Confederate wreath portion of a tongue and wreath belt buckle, a baby US belt plate, a US belt plate (partially melted), a Civil War issue spur, a large ancient Native American chipped stone tool, several Union eagle buttons, a period coin silver wedding band, and many other Civil War-related relics. Big congrats to everyone on all of the great discoveries made. Next stop Virginia!
