February 2021 Mississippi Civil War History Hunt Highlights

A group of seven History Hunt Club members got together this month for a three day metal detecting tour on an enormous farm with quite a bit of Civil War history attached to it. Everyone hunted hard and made some great Civil War discoveries. Highlights were: over 100 Union and Confederate Civil War bullets; over 10 Union Civil War buttons; one Union 'US" belt plate; one Union Eagle Breastplate; an intact lockplate from a Civil War musket; and lots of Civil War camp-related relics. The pictures are only represent a portion of the groups discovery. What a blast!
